CARPRO PERL Coat Plastic and Rubber Protectant - 500 ml.

Item Description:

PERL Coat is water-based silicon oxide, solvent-free, hydrophobic, and provides great satin shine and revives faded plastic, engine, rubber, and leather surfaces. While it can easily spray, it has great cling to keep it on the surface. It lasts up to 3 months.

PERL Coat has no chemical solvents, which can cause damage to tires. PERL Coat contains a high degree of UV protection to keep the surface from yellowing, cracking and fading as a result of sun damage. PERL Coat will stop leather from cracking and prevent dirt and stains from penetrating the surface. Treated surfaces require less cleaning and will remain in like-new condition. PERL Coat restores the original finish to vinyl, rubber, plastic, acrylic, and leather.

Plastic, engine, rubber, leather, and vinyl surfaces stay supple, flexible, and retain their color with regular use of PERL Coat.

PERL Coat creates a satin shine. It is non greasy, non oily, and has a great smell.

PERL Coat's water-based formula provides great durability on all tires, interior and exterior trim, vinyl and dashboards.

Recommend dilution ratio:
External plastics - 1: 3 (1 quantity PERL : 3 quantity water).
Engine 1:1~3
Tires - undiluted ~ 1:1
Interior rubber / dashboard / leather / vinyl 1:5

  1. Dilute PERL with water and pour into a spray bottle.
  2. Clean the surface well before applying PERL Coat. Shake the diluted mixture well before use. Spray on surface from 20cm distance and wipe off with a microfiber towel.
  3. PERL Coat can be applied to tires and rubber trim with sponge applicator.

Best interior dressing

I've used a lot of interior dressings. This is by far the best I've seen. I dilute 1:4 and it shines the interior great. No greasy reside and feels great to the touch.

So many uses and great results

I bought a bottle of this, mixed up half at 3:1 in a spray bottle, and then refilled the container to give me a 1:1 mix for tires. Got more dressing than I know what to do with now!

Lasts for quite awhile and looks great! Im not a fan of high gloss dressings and the satin sheen this has is amazing

PERL is the shine product to have. Highly dilutable so you can find just the right amount of shine for each surface you want to protect.

Good for Tires, meh for Interior.

This is definitely my go to tire dressing when cut 1:1 with water then knocked back with a microfiber towel. However it does leave behind a residue so I refuse to use it on interiors. nobody likes that greasy feeling. Even if you buff it off, it's still there. Would def stick to exterior with this stuff.

Pleasant Product with multiple uses.

This is a good car dressing that works in multiple ways well. Ive used it on interiors, tires, trim, and gaskets. It looks great on application but doesnt seem to be the longest lasting product, maybe only 3 weeks for exterior.
Multiuse Shorter than expected life.

Carpro really came up with a miracle product, so versatile you can use it wherever you want, in and around the car.
Yes, it is somewhat a hassle to have to dilute a product.. but it makes it:
- economical
- adaptable to many different uses
- and you can really chose the final aspect you want to give to the surface: more, or less shiny. That requires a little trial and error, but you can chose to respect the manufacturer's recommendations.

My primary use was on my tires and it definitely had my preference over 'gel' type competitors, lasting black shine and water beading ! No sling, perfect. I like a moderately shiny surface, and it does it, if dont apply too much, or dry with a microfiber.

Never used it inside the car yet because mine is brand new.
There might be a more durable product on trim, I have not compared yet, but it is more pricey and not the same kind of product.
About everything You can find more durable solutions for trim, but more difficult to apply and more pricey

User on tires and exterior plastic trim for matte finish.

I dilute 2 parts water to 1 part PERL for tires and plastic trim for matte finish. Usually lasts 2-3 weeks or thorough 1 wash.
Reasonably priced Matte finish at 2/1 Lasts a few weeks Very thin when diluted

Great on tires and interiors almost perfect

I really enjoy working with Perl. It applies easily and evenly and the finish it leaves is perfect. To reap full benefits of PERL make sure its really clean.
Dilute as needed. Goes on evenly Best semi perm si02 trim treatment I have used. Reasonably priced for what it can do. It?s a quality trim and tire protection product. Can be streaky on darker plastics but go over it again and You have to work fast in the heat. Seems to attract dust..

I have been looking for a product that would be used on the tires and doesn't sling. Even better it lasts on my cars for two weeks. I also like the Matte Finish, however, mix is straight out of the bottle or dilute it's your call.
1. Marvelous looking finish 2. Mix it like you want for the final look 3. Price is just right. 4. No Sling and tends to hang on None so far will update if any found.

Not super glossy, gives a nice CLEAN tire look. Great to use after every few washes on my daily driven car. I used it full strength and did not dilute for tires.
East to apply, clean finish even after a few washes.

Better options out there
October 9, 2017
I really wanted to like this product but there are a couple reasons why I don't. For starters, it doesn't last. You'll be lucky to get a couple weeks out of it. Secondly, I just couldn't get the look I was after even trying various dilutions it just didn't work out for me. I have a several other options for tires, trim etc. that are 3x better than this.

Left a low sheen shine on my dash. Has a nice smell like Granny Smith apples. Easy to use. Wish it had some minor cleaning ability, but I already knew that before buying it.
Good shine No cleaning ability

One of CarPro's gems
May 29, 2016
This makes especially a black dash look so clean. Not shiny at all just deep dark glowing clean. I dilute it 3:1 and just LOVE it. Works ok for other colors too but wow on black.
Great protection, not greasy, None

This stuff really works!
Was able to make my Gray bleached out flares and bumpers look almost new. At first it looks like the product doesn't work. But after it dried, my flares turned to a Glossy Gray virtually eliminating the bleached out finish.
Worked best out of five trim products I've tried so far. Used an ounce to do all the plastic ppb a 02 Ford Explorer. It lasted a few weeks. We had a heavy rain for a few days now and it's finally degraded. Not a permanent solution but results you get are worth applying when needed.

Perl is the real deal

You must try this product, so versatile,,,,,can be used on interior ...dash, cockpit, vents, steering wheel, you name it, also can be used on exterior trim, tires....can be diluted to your liking of shine which makes it a incredible value and the durability is superb
Great Value, durability, looks, and Versatility love this stuff

Best dressing out!
September 5, 2014
This stuff is phenomenal and economical. It can be diluted for many uses including trim, interior, tires, and engine bays. It is my go to tire dressing and engine bay dressing. For tires I dilute it 1 to 1 and typically do two coats and it lasts like no other gel or tire shine that isn't silicon based. It also isn't a bling bling type look just a nice clean little bit of shine. If I was in business and someone didn't want to pay for a coating or a sealant on their trim on interior it would be my go to for everything, that's how good it is! It is a relatively watery consistency so I prefer spraying it on (even on tires), I use it in a small fine mist sprayer and it works beautifully. I just can't say enough about this product... But I will stop.
Multi-purpose Great looks Longevity Non sling You find one let me know!

Darkens tires and vinyl nicely and leaves a low-gloss shine.
Darkens rubber and plastic Versatile - use on plastic, engine bay, rubber & leather Dilute-ability makes quite cost effective Can be layered to change gloss level
