Gtechniq L1 Leather Guard creates a microscopic coating on your leather that prevents chemicals from penetrating -and staining- your leather surfaces. Additionally, the microscopic barrier reduces abrasion to the leather's surface without feeling slippery. L1 Leather Guard applies that science to your leather to coat the hide in extreme protection.

Gtechniq L1 Leather Guard prevents the premature aging of your leather by combating the factors that accelerate wear. More than 99% of new automobiles feature leather that is covered with a specialized coating that adds protection. Friction is the number one reason that coated leathers age. External friction, in the form of abrasion, will quickly wear away the protective coating. Gtechniq L1 Leather Guard creates a microscopically smooth coating, so minute you cannot feel it, that allows objects to pass over the leather without wearing it away.

Body oils and other chemicals seek to penetrate your leather's protective coating and damage it from the inside out. Some materials, such as indigo colored jeans, can stain pale leather's. Gtechniq L1 Leather Guard prevents your leather from absorbing chemicals by repelling them away. The powerful coating also resists against color transfer and dye stains. Leather Guard protects your leather with “Smart Surface Science" to keep it looking like-new for years to come.

Vacuum your leather to remove any loose dirt and grit. Clean the leather using a 1:20 dilution of Gtechniq W2 Universal Cleaner and allow to dry completely. Coat all of your leather with a thin layer of L1 Leather Guard and allow it set for a minimum of 30 minutes. You can remove any streaks, caused by over application, with a damp microfiber towel. For maximum protection, clean leather and reapply a coat of L1 Leather Guard on high traffic areas every three months. For leather that is subject to less wear you can reapply every six months.
