Lake Country 6.5 Inch HDO Orbital Foam Pads were created specifically for long-stroke dual action polishers like the Rupes LHR 21ES Big Foot Random Orbital Polisher. The brains at Lake Country spent a great amount of time testing, fine-tuning, and re-testing each foam composition to ensure maximum longevity from each pad.
Lake Country HDO Orbital Foam Pads feature a unique dual-density design that is unlike any other foam pad available. This unique design eliminates the concaving effect that other pads experience, allowing the pads to maintain optimum surface contact and extended usage on long-stroke machines.
||Blue Cutting HDO Orbital Foam Pad
Firm, medium density foam for scratch and defect removal. Use this pad with polishes and swirl removers. It’s an all around pad that will work on most light to moderate imperfections.
||Orange Polishing HDO Orbital Foam Pad
Less dense foam formula for the application of cleaner waxes and light polishes. This pad has very light cutting power so it’s perfect for the removal of light defects and micro marring.
||Red Finishing HDO Orbital Foam Pad
Composition is firm enough to withstand added pressure during final finishing to remove buffer swirls. It has very little cut and will apply thin, even coats of waxes, sealants, and glazes, and ultra fine polishes.
What else sets Lake Country HDO Orbital Foam Pads apart from others?Cool Running
– Lake Country HDO Orbital Foam Pads run 10% cooler on long-stroke machinesCooling Chamber
– This helps prevent the center of the pad from concavingPerfectly Balanced
– Makes the machine easier to controlDual Density Design
– Increases stability and allows improved control on curved panelsFoam Construction
– Because the pad is composed of several materials in addition to foam, there is less foam movement which minimizes haze and micro marring.
When you’re finished using the pads for the day, soak them in a bucket of warm water and mix in one ounce of BLACKFIRE Advanced Pad Cleaner & Restorer
. This citrus-based degreaser removes caked on polish and wax residue, leaving your pads clean and ready for future polishing sessions. After they’ve soaked for 15 to 20 minutes, thoroughly rinse them out and allow them to air dry in a well ventilated area with the backing material facing up.
