Great on many surfaces

My favorite place to use VRP is to dress tires, but it will also breathe new life into your exterior faded plastic trim. It lasts a long time, too.

Excellent Multi-use

Mainly use this as a tire shine, and it works super well! Also works great for engine bay detailing and interior! Highly recommend diluting this with distilled water for engine bays and even interior so you can have a more satin finish instead of glossy.
Pros
  • Multi-purpose
  • Looks Great
  • Decent Price
Cons
  • Not worth using on exterior plastic trim

Chemical Guys VRP is a well loved product in detailing from what i can see. I decided to give it a try. As this is water based it does not last very long but the look is very nice and the application is very easy.
Pros
  • Ease of application
  • Water based
  • Can be applied in layers
  • Cheap
  • Temporary restoration of satin black look to plastics
Cons
  • How long the product will last in real world conditions

This is my favorite all round dressing to use it works great on tires and all the exterior trim on my vehicle i particularly like the gloss and the durability. better than all of the brands i have used I even use it on some of my interior plastics and vinyl although you have to be careful a little goes a long way. and it does leave a high gloss so you might want to be careful if you use it on your dash because of the reflection.
Pros
  • Durability

Great for interior and engine not so much for tires and trim.

This is my go to for interior and engines. Dry to the touch. I use it 50/50 with distilled water since it's water based for engines and interiors. Keeps the dust off anything inside the car. It lasts and lasts. If you do get dust on your engine a damp cloth will remove the dust and leave the VRP.
On ties and exterior trim it just dies fast even at full strength
Pros
  • $
  • My go to for interior trim and engine plastics
Cons
  • Falls extremely short on tires, wheel wells and exterior trim.
  • Grab something pricer and better for the external stuff.

Used VRP as an interior dressing, wiped on, rubbed in then off. Dried quickly to a matte shine, softened the vinyl to touch which was nice. A mild maintenance dressing.
Pros
  • Conditions,UV protection, versitile, mild cleaner as well.

One of my favorites

VRP was my first dressing to buy and I was amazed by the results, I mainly use it on my tires, it gives a great shine for the price and I even dilute it at 1:1 in a spray bottle, durability is fair for the price & it is water based, It's also great on plastics (exterior and interior) I will buy a gallon when I run out. I recommend this product!
Pros
  • Water based
  • Economic
  • Great shine

I like using this as a cost effective dressing that has OK durability. I've never had issues with it running after a rain if the trim is cleaned well. Leave just a little bit of gloss.

Outstanding product, period. I use VRP primarily on tires and what I appreciate most is the low "gloss" which is wonderfully muted combined with long term durability and protection. As ever, thoroughly clean the surface to be treated with VRP -and then proceed. Simply a great product

Awesome dressing

This dressing is very good for tires, interiors, and engine bays. I don't recommend using it on exterior trim because it usually wears off fairly quickly. But I love this stuff on tires. Creates a deep shine and can be layered for more shine.
