Item Description:

All of the power of Big Foot in a compact package!

Large stroke, air-powered random orbital polisher

Engineered for maximum efficiency with minimal air requirements

Uses 4 inch pads making it ideal for spot polishing

The Rupes LHR75 3 Inch Pneumatic Random Orbital Polisher is a large orbit, air driven and supremely engineered dual-action random orbital polisher. Dual-action random orbital polishers, often called DA's, are known for their ability to safely polish paint without burning it or damaging body panel edges. Dual-action random orbital polishers, because of their unique polishing action, create a high gloss finish that is free of circular scratches or buffer swirl marks. The Rupes LHR75 3 Inch Pneumatic Random Orbital Polisher is extremely compact and designed to use 4 inch polishing pads so you can achieve a flawless finish when polishing tight areas, complex curves and any other area where larger polishers cannot fit.

Rupes engineered the LHR75 3 Inch Pneumatic Random Orbital Polisher with the same 15 millimeter stroke as the LHR 15ES Big Foot Random Orbital Polisher. The stroke -often called the throw,- is the distance from the center of the machine to the center of the pad. Most DA polishers use a 4 to 8 millimeter stroke. By moving the pad nearly twice as far per orbit as other designs, the Rupes LHR75 3 Inch Pneumatic Random Orbital Polisher is capable of removing paint defects quickly. Because it is a dual-action random orbital polisher, it will never create swirl marks so you can achieve a perfect finish in fewer steps.

The Rupes LHR75 3 Inch Pneumatic Random Orbital Polisher requires an air compressor with a constant air supply of 80 PSI. One of the key design requirements for a spot polisher is to be compact and ergonomic. It must fit into areas where other polishers cannot. Because it uses compressed air, instead of a large electric motor, the Rupes LHR75 3 Inch Pneumatic Random Orbital Polisher is lightweight and easily maneuverable. Rupes carefully balanced the mass of the polisher's rotating assembly with the weight of the recommended Rupes 100 mm (4 inch) Foam Pads to create an Italian polisher with the balance of an Italian supercar. You can use this polisher for hours on end without experiencing the hand numbness or tingling created by other polishers.

Like all of Rupes' tools, the Rupes LHR75 3 Inch Pneumatic Random Orbital Polisher is equipped with features to make your polishing experience more pleasant. The compact body features an ergonomic control lever for safe and comfortable handling. A spanner wrench is stored on-board for quick servicing. While most air-powered tools create an ear-piercing sound, the LHR75 remains quiet due to an air outlet silencer. The shock-resistant front grip is insulated from the internal air lines so it will never cool or become uncomfortable.

The Rupes LHR75 3 Inch Pneumatic Random Orbital Polisher is the perfect air-powered polisher for spot repair or for polishing tight areas on complex body panels. For the best results use Rupes' range of paint correction polishing gels with Rupes 100 mm (4 inch) Foam Pads.

Great polisher

I have only used this machine once, but the difference it remarkable. The large "orbit " sets the Rupes apart from the others. It takes a short time to get used to and appreciate this, but the increased speed/reduced time is quite evident.

I have to add that the first machine I received arrived in an unsealed box, without any instruction book, broken and obviously dropped. In addition, it was fitted with an air inlet fitting which is not supplied with the machine by Rupes,

The folks at Autopia took care of the exchange quickly and professionally - a great company to deal with!
  • Very efficient, high quality machine that does what it claims.
  • Probably is harder to control in "tight" spots due to the large orbit.
