Product Application
![]() | Today we are going to tackle one constant issue we all deal with - glass care. Glass care is a perpetual problem and unless you lock up your car and never let out of the garage, you'll have to do it. But what if I told you glass care doesn't have to be a drag!? Using the right products and techniques can open up a whole new world on the other side of your glass, and I'm going to show you how! |
This Cadillac sees a lot of highway miles (if you couldn't tell by the photo!). To conquer these contaminants we are going to clean, decontaminate, and seal with the Pinnacle Natural Brilliance line.
We'll get started by cleaning off any surface contamination with the new Pinnacle Advanced Glass Cleaner. This formulation is the second glass cleaner to the Pinnacle line up and is free of any water repelling properties. While the Pinnacle Crystal Clear Glass Cleaner with Water Repellent works great, the Advanced Glass Cleaner is a better fit for this neglected windshield! | ![]() |
Spray the glass cleaner directly onto the surface; use your own judgment on how heavy you'll need to go with the product. Of course, since this windshield has some serious contamination, I'm going a little heavier with the product than normal. Then use a clean microfiber glass towel to remove the contamination
![]() | To ensure complete removal of any contamination, we'll use a clay bar. Grab a fresh clay bar and give it a good twist and start kneading the clay. From there you will flatten it into a patty about the size of your hand and your clay is ready to go. Mist the glass cleaner onto the surface to use as a lubricant. Since glass is so much harder than paint, you won't have to worry about any marring. |
With the clay at your palm, start making passes along the glass. Continue until you feel it smoothly move across without any resistance. Give the glass one more final wipe down remove any residue.
At last it's time to seal up your work! Using a foam applicator, pour a small amount of Pinnacle Glasscoat Window Sealant and start evenly spreading it out onto the surface. Once the glass is covered, allow 10 15 minutes for the product to dry and remove any excess with a microfiber towel. Pinnacle recommends applying two coats for best results. | ![]() |

That's all there is to it, well besides enjoying your new glass clarity!
