Item Description:

Optimum Paint Prep is the ideal product for preparing your vehicle for application of Optimum Gloss Coat. This unique formula contains a blend of mild solvents that dissolve any wax or polish residue that will impede the bonding of the coating. Optimum Paint Prep cleans off any invisible contamination, leaving the surface squeaky clean and ready for coating!

You want water beading, you want protection, and you want it to last, right? The best way to increase longevity of any last step product (LSP) is to properly prepare the surface prior to applying it. Even a smooth, perfectly polished surface will have some residue or oil left over from the products used to perfect it. Optimum Paint Prep dissolves any old waxes, compounding oils, or other residues that would otherwise prevent a coating from properly bonding.

Optimum Paint Prep is completely free of surfactants and oils. The non-abrasive formula leaves behind no residue whatsoever so youíre left with a truly clean surface thatís ready to be coated. Using Optimum Paint Prep is easy too. Simply spray onto the surface and wipe away with a clean, soft, microfiber towel. In a few minutes time, your entire vehicle will be ready for coating!

Better than an IPA Wipedown
There. I said it. This is better than an IPA wipedown, in my opinion. I just feel more confident that I'm not harming the paint with this. Of course, an IPA wipedown works as well, but this is a product dedicated to doing one thing and one thing alone.

This is like using a Philips screwdriver to screw in a Philips-type screw. The IPA wipedown is like a flat head screwdriver being used on a Philips-type screw. Does it work? Yes, but not as well as an actual Philips screwdriver for that specific screw.

Your experience might be different, but so far, this has worked for me. The ease of use and the peace of mind knowing that old waxes/sealants have been removed after using this is worth the price.

For better mileage, pick this up when on sale.
ProsIt works well.
ConsPrice is a extremely steep when being compared to an IPA mixture.
